My friend Kristan's daughter Sarah made this beautiful sign for her for Mother's Day. If you are a follower of Dr. Fuhrman's "Eat to Live" plant based diet, you will appreciate this as much as I do!
In his book he writes that we should keep a sign in the kitchen that says "The Salad is the Main Dish" to remind us that raw plant foods should make up the majority of what we eat at each meal.
What a thoughtful gift, Sarah!
And now for what I got for Mother's Day...
Mango Salsa! And this is really special stuff because 1. My husband made it and he doesn't make anything that involves chopping but maybe once a year and 2. he used tomatoes and onions from our backyard garden! We finished this up in two days, now it's my turn to make more.

This photo was taken with my iPhone, so excuse the poor quality! This was the other "gift" I got for mother's day. It's my "Mother's Day Fruit Salad" assembled by the crew behind the photo :)
What thoughtful gifts did you get or give for Mother's Day? Please share in the comments below!

My husband took my boys to Lowe's to make the free craft there which was a little wooden shelf for a flower vase. Then they picked flowers from my back yard and put them in the vase. I love it! Would love some of that salsa too!
What a thoughtful gift! Did you get the goodie bag from Hoover's Essential Health too?
My mother lives in Hawaii and travels to Thailand often to take care of my grandparents. Well now just my grandfather as my grandmother passed away a year ago. So for Mother's Day I bought her a laptop and will have my cousin from Washington DC train her on how to use it while she is in Thailand. I am getting her set up on Skype so that I can see and talk to her. I haven't seen my mom in over 4 yrs so this is the best present ever. :)
