Kissimmee's Green Place is OPEN!

I'm so happy I now have another garden to "pick" my greens from! We are harvesting lots of salad right now, but the kale, Swiss chard, kohlrabi and bok choy are not ready.

On Valentines Day I drove to Hunter's Creek for a marathon training run and since Kissimmee's Green Place is just 5 miles away, I decided to drop in with my running friend. Pictured here is the Organic Hydroponic Garden from which you can have greens cut fresh from the dirt!! I picked bok choy, baby bok choy, 2 bunches of kale, 1 bunch of Swiss chard, and 1 bunch of spinach all for $13. A fair price in my opinion and it's worth paying a little extra for something that is as fresh as what I get in my garden.

The owners have a passion for LOCAL organic food fresh from the garden. They have a deep understanding of how harmful conventional produce is to the environment and for human health. They want to educate consumers on how to prepare greens with cooking demonstrations and educational seminars. Who wouldn't want to support this type of business?! For more information about Kissimmee's Green Place go to their website.
